Alyssa Farah Resigns As Director Of White House Communications Tyler Durden Thu, 12/03/2020 - 19:40
White House communications director Alyssa Farah resigned on Thursday, the latest high-profile departure from the White House as the Trump Administration winds down. Her last day is Friday, according to the Washington Post.
The daughter of World Net Daily founder Joseph Farrah, a legendary conservative journalist, Farrah's resignation mirrors that of Hope Hicks, another former WH Communications Director who was long considered one of Trump's most trusted aides. Apart from having the same job, Farrah is also a young (31) attractive female.
Farah also served as press secretary for Vice President Mike Pence and as a special assistant to President Trump from October 2017 to September 2019, succeeded by Katie Waldman (now Katie Miller, the.wife of Trump advisor Stephen Miller). She has worked as a spokeswoman for the House Freedom Caucus and Mark Meadows, and her latest stint at the White House - she briefly handled comms over at the Pentagon - coincided with Meadows' turn as Trump's chief of staff.
Hicks infamously did a stint at Fox News as a top-level communications executive after her initial departure from the White House before coming back for a second tour (which culminated in her getting COVID-19 during the WH outbreak).
Things have changed since then, thanks to Fox News's rift with Trump, which has prompted many of the president's biggest supporters to turn the channel to one of two competing conservative networks.
While the Washington Post is reporting that Farah plans to hang a shingle and start her own consulting shop, with her experience, she could wind up on Newsmax (aka the 'new' Fox).
