Last-Minute Super Bowl LVII Ticket Prices Slide

There are only three days (as of Thur. morning) before Super Bowl LVII between the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. New insights show ticket demand remains strong, though prices are sliding.

Despite the Chiefs and Eagles having both won Super Bowls in the last half-decade, not to mention the State Farm Stadium, located in Glendale, Arizona, is far from traditional spots like New Orleans and Miami, demand for tickets on the secondary market remains robust.

Last-minute tickets are being snapped up for an average of $6,513, a decline of about a third compared with average ticket prices on Jan. 19, according to mobile ticket platform SeatGeek. Over the last decade, ticket prices generally slid in the days before the big game, except for games in 2015 and 2020.

SeatGeek data shows the cheapest ticket sold was $4,362, and the most expensive was $30,469.

SeatGeek shows a map of where buyers of the tickets are from and shows a large number from the Mid-Alantic and Northeast areas. This makes perfect sense, considering the Eagles are located in Philadelphia.

A separate mobile ticket platform called Gametime shows tickets are going for as low as $3,100 on Thursday.

Gametime told us:

With the Super Bowl this Sunday, demand for Super Bowl tickets remains high. Gametime (www.Gametime.co), the leading app/site for last-minute tickets, is reporting that the lowest priced/get-in tickets for the game are now available for $4,986 each (compared to $5,623 each yesterday), including all taxes and fees, and sharply down from $6,248 each this past weekend. This is the first time the lowest-priced seats have dropped below $5,000 each.

The top-priced seats have held steady since yesterday, at $24,855 each, up from $20,810 on Sunday.

No matter the ticket platform, average ticket prices slide ahead of the big game. There might be an opportunity to scoop up last-minute tickets at heavily discounted prices versus weeks ago, though finding a cheap flight from DC, Philly, and NYC might be challenging.
